Chairman waves the Magic wand with acrobatics in the field and big shots with the Bat.

On a Windy Rainy and Sunny Day at Dorchester, Skipper Tony Launchbury lost the toss and we were in the field.

Opening the bowling was A Kalyan and J Behal but with the gusty winds they were at the wrong ends, so the skipper moved them around and both bowled very well after a couple of spells finishing up with figures of A Kalyan 8-0-31-2 and J Behal 11-3-28-1, Tony Launchbury on what would be fair to say was an off day for him with the ball 6-1-21-1 but still impressive figures, Jack Launchbury had a good spell 5-0-28-0, then Ajay Behal bowled well finishing with 7-1-20-0, and Jed Launchbury 8-3-24-3 was the pick of the bowlers with a little help from the Chairman at 2nd Slip, Jed bowling his very fast pace and the Chairman diving like an elephant one handed to the left to take what can only be described a stunning catch, compared to all the others which has been dropped by other players! (I am writing the report so may be a little over the top)
Dorchester finished on 162 for 9 we could just not get the final wicket, with the main batsman W Aastasiodis scoring 94 not out although he was dropped in the 50s and 70s, we do need a little more practice at catching with at least 4 which should have been taken and the chairman taking the only catch of the innings.

Followed was a great tea in a traditional cricket pavilion, which was excellent.

Then followed our Batting, Brock went early (0) LBW, Jeacock having his best season for a while blasted his way to a 24 before being bowled, Ajay Behal batted sensibly for his (20), then Moss and Josh Behal put together the big partnership although the key moment was when Moss refused to walk after the wicket keeper claimed a catch, I can assure you I never hit it and the umpire agreed, Josh played just some lovely cricket shots and it is only a matter of time before we lose him to the 1st team, but Behal played one big shot and fell for (35), Josh Swadling (12 not out) was next to the crease to assist a tiring Chairman who had to take his hat off to lose some of the steam building up, but with some massive blows form the chairman ending up on (64 not out), wining the game with a massive 6 to add to the 8 x 4's and 1 x 6 already scored, he does not run many singles these days!

Great to see the 1st XI all stay to watch the end of the game and give the chairman some stick from the pavilion,

Great game played by both sides.
