Safeguarding youth players

Kidlington Cricket Club is committed to ensuring a safe environment for its youth players, and that cricket is a positive experience in which they have fun and develop new skills. To ensure this we have adopted a Safeguarding Policy Statement and specific safeguarding policies and procedures, which are available to download below. This includes details of how coaches and volunteers are vetted and trained to ensure that they are suitable to work with children. The club has shown its commitment to high welfare standards by obtaining accredited Clubmark status, and implements the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) “Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children

We have a Club Welfare Officer who is the first point of contact for any concerns about child safeguarding issues within the club. The Club Welfare Officer for 2019 is Mark Fransham; contact details can be found on the website under 'contact'. Concerns can also be shared with Oxfordshire Cricket's County Welfare Officer.
