Tew win an amazing game,

It was a must win game against top of the table Tew.

Captain Oliver won the toss and put Tew into Bat, with a great all round performance with the ball Nicholas Owen 3-2-4-1, Oscar Hewitt 3-1-4-0, Jacob Oliver 1-0-2-1 being the star bowlers as has been the case most of the season, but we dropped 2 very key catches which allowed Tew to end up with a respectable total of 84 from 20 Overs, Manager Moss was quite happy with this, with our batting line up that should not have been an issue.

Sandelson (30 Retired not out) after giving a simple chance which was not taken early on, making Tew pay with a great performance of hard hitting, Nicholas Owen (5) was looking in top form before being caught and we all saw a little passion from this young man as his bat went flying whilst walking off the pitch, whilst I don’t agree with this it shows these lads really do care!

Older brother Thomas Owen (19) then came in and again hit some pure class shots down the ground before being bowled, and then the collapse came, Szafnauer (1) run out in a bizarre way with little concentration, but all credit to the Tew fielder who basically said if you’re not going to get back in your ground I will run you out, and with Manager Moss umpiring he had no choice but to give it out.
Sternberg (6) McErlain (1) Oliver (0) Pratt (0) Wyman (0), and at the other end young Medlicott (11) trying to keep the innings together, but we could not get the Tew bowling away and ending up 2 runs short.

If only we could have got Sacha back in!!!

In Cricket we say “Catches win Matches” that certainly would have been the case for us today, but all credit to Tew once our big hitters were retired or out, they bowled very well at the death and only gave away 9 extra’s in total compared to our 17.
We have one more game left this season, so let’s finish the season on a high!
