U13 A Get Tew'd up!

It was one of those days, sun was out, lots of parents watching but the side did not perform.

Sometimes in cricket this happens, and we will learn from what was honest our worst performance in 3 years with our quality side, we had to many chief's on the field on this day.

With Thomas Owen missing, Sacha took on the captaincy and won the toss and ask Tew to bat on what looked like a very green wicket, What we were not expecting was the Tew opener Ben (32 retired) who is a year above most of our group to take apart the opening bowlers with ease, and with all the other Tew batsmen getting in the runs and with lots of extra's they ended up on 98 after the 20 overs.

Our best bowlers were probably Sandelson 4-1-14-2 and Medlicott 3-0-21-2 but not until reading the book had I realised we took our most economical bowler Smith (2-1-1-1) off, I must have been asleep when this decision was made and I take responsibility for this as it was the wrong decision.

But 98 is achievable with our batting line up unless you lose 4 wickets in an over, Caught, Caught, Caught, Caught which says we were not concentrating, Sternberg (9) and Oliver (7) made the game last a while but to be honest I was glad to see the back of this game,

Tew deserved to win and we will reflect next Monday night at training, discuss what went wrong and move forward to our cup game a week Sunday.
