U13A finshing season on a high!!

With 8 players missing it was down to the B side with U11 players to fill the spaces left against what was a weak Chipping Norton Side with both sides starting with 9 players and the Managers agreeing to play a 16 over game.

Captain Pratt lost the toss but to our surprise they elected to Bat, Manager Moss umpiring as usual could then not believe what talent he was watching, Oliver 3-0-11-2, Wyman 3-0-13-2 opened the bowling and taking 4 wickets between them, Earp 3-0-5-1, Hewitt 2-0-8-1 again both bowled well, Suckling 2-0-5-0 Pratt 1-0-5-2 cleaned up the rest of the batsman, but we agreed to play 2 run for a wide and 2 for a no ball, with no more than 6 balls per over, so only 20 were scored with the bat and 35 extra’s, leaving KCC to chase down 55 from 16 overs.

We bowled straight which was something I had not seen for a while, and the Chipping Norton Batsman could not handle this, a great performance in the field and with the ball.

Wyman (0) and Behal (21) opened the batting and Wyman was out to a great ball which was unfortunate, whilst young Behal (21) played some great shots off the legs and through the covers, Tatay(0) was sent up the order as he did not bowl, then that brought Pratt (23 Not Out) to the crease, and took the roll of captain very seriously and played some great shots, Once Behal was out, that brought Hewitt (0 not out) to the crease to see the game out from 9.2 overs.

A great win for Kidlington A, big credit to Paul Hewitt for this game as it is his young talent which took this game on and allowed KCC a comprehensive win for our final game of the season.
