Wolvercote deserved the victory!

On a very wet pitch Captain Medlicott lost the toss and Wolvercote to our surprise made us bowl.

To say it was like playing on a field was very true, but the manager had called me before the game and in an effort to get cricket played we both decided to give it a go.

Our bowling was very good as always O Hewitt 2-0-5-2 and Jacob Oliver 2-0-6-2 being the pick of the bowlers on a very wet track, with young Max Wyman 2-0-4-0 coming into the side is yet another young star in the making.

Fielding was good and the boys were in fine form keeping the total down to 65 from the revised 16 overs.

After scoring over 100 twice so far this year I did not see us having any issues, even though Sam Kimber was unable to attend due to being late back from a school, and Sacha pulling out due to injury the day before and Felipe also out injured we played with 10 men.

Young N Owen (18) as always was in form but with a few bad running decisions and bad shots we were soon in trouble, Finaly (2) Wyman (0) McErlain (2) Sternberg (0) Although Medlicott (6) and Pratt (7) steadied the ship but once they were out Oliver (1) and Kalyan (3) the game was over and we were 10 runs short

Overall a disappointing result but the boys had great fun and were full of spirit, onto the game on Monday now against Oxford.
