Minster too strong for KCC U13s

KCC U13s travelled to Minster Lovell for a 11 a side league match. KCC were in good form and their side contained 5 members of the talented under 11 side. It was a tense match with KCC striking early and pegging back the Minster batsmen with two early wickets. The hosts slowly fought back and built a good total of 111 from 20 overs.
KCC batsmen knew that had to bet well and get a good start, unfortunately Saul was very unlucky to he a ball that kept low and was bowled second ball. Kamran and Alec built a decent partnership of 18 before Alec was out to a good catch. Sacha came to the wicket and with Kamran looked very comfortable but just as the game seemed to heading KCC's way Kamran got a top edge and was caught. Sacha held firm and built another good partnership with Jack Launchbury who played with great control for his 19 runs. Jack got a good ball that took out his middle stump and when Sacha was caught going another boundary on 26 it became a tough task for the lower order batsmen to get the remaining 40 odd runs. Minster Lovell picked up the remaining wickets quickly to leave KCC on 77 all out. A brave effort from our young team and thank you to all the under 11s who played for us.
