KCC U13s continued their winning run and put themselves in a strong position to make the 8 a side league finals day.
After winning the toss Saul decided to have a bowl at Sanford St. Martin. It was a slow start for the Sanford batsmen and they were soon under pressure as Ben Hague took an early wicket and bowled superbly to record figures of 3-2-1-1. It was Nicholas Owen however who did the main damage by taking 3 wickets for 18 runs in 3 overs, excellent bowling by one of our under 11 stars.
Sanford struggled against all the KCC bowlers with very few boundaries to show for their efforts, in the end the total of 208 was well short of what was need to test the powerful KCC batting line up.
Saul and Lauren set off in pursuit of the total with a steady partnership both looking comfortable and Saul taking on the attacking role. KCC eased past the required total and continued to pile on the runs with Jack smashing 4x4s in a good partnership with Thomas Wynn and then Thomas Owen struck 7x4s in a very entertaining final partnership with Oscar.
Excellent performance by all, well done.
