KCC U13s cruise to victory over Cumnor CC

KCC under 13s side proved way too strong for Cumnor CC under 13s.
Both sides fielded young sides including some under 11s but it was the Kidlington players who adapted better and dominated the match from the start.

KCC's top three batsmen were all retired on reaching 30 runs. Hamish Hall (30), Kamran Ramzan (33) & Ajay Behal (32) all looked untroubled with the bat and scored boundaries freely. Ben Hague batted out the last few overs with a very well-played 9 not out and KCC finished on 125 for the loss of one wicket off 20 overs.

Cumnor started slowly but steadily with the bat but the introduction of the Owen brothers to the bowling attack turned the game sharply in Kidlington's favour. Both Thomas and Nicholas have been performing well for the under 11s under the guidance of the Chairman John Moss so it was fitting that they should step up on Chairman's day to show the great potential of our under 11 group, both bowled quick and accurately with Thomas picking up two wickets for only 3 runs.

KCC bowlers all contributed well and the fielding was very impressive with some great catches and a really solid performance from Alec Puleston behind the stumps.

KCC kept the pressure on throughout the innings to restrict Cumnor to 64 runs off 20 overs.
