Great effort from KCC U13s

In our last 11 a side league game KCC under 13s put in a really strong team performance despite only having 9 players. It was an impressive display against the league leaders Aston Rowant and gives us a lot of positves to take into next season.
Hamish Hall returned to the side after injury showing us what we have been missing in recent games. He starred with the bat and ball taking 3 wickets and scoring 15 runs including a massive six!

Aston Rowant top order batsmen showed why they are top of the league in batting with ease on a good wicket. Three of their batsmen were retired despite a decent bowling display from KCC, Kamran and Ajay both finishing with respectable figures on a good batting pitch. new player Archie Davis took two fine catches and had we held all our catches I'm sure we could have restricted the opposition to around 100 runs.

KCC made a strong start with the bat, Tommy Clark playing the anchor role and Hamish taking the attack to the bowlers. We were up with the run rate after 10 overs but the pressure of chasing a total often brings wickets and a couple of run outs left KCC chasing 59 off the last 5 overs. However, overall the batting was very impressive, Ajay was looking dangerous making 20 before being run out and Ben Stewart playing his first match made 19 not out including 3 x 4s.

A great way to end our 11 a side league season, some excellent individual performances and a fine team effort against a strong side.
