KCC U13s played Oxford CC again this time in a friendly match as both sides had their league matches cancelled. Once again KCC prevailed. Oxford chose to bat first and looked to be building a challenging total but lost momentum in the last few overs. Good pressure from the KCC fielders (including another two catches by Marshall Taylor!) and accurate bowling ensured KCC would be chasing a modest target of 224.
The Kidlington batsmen set about the run chase with little fuss and never looked overly troubled by the Oxford bowling. Sahil Kaylan and Ajay Behal put on 31 runs without losing a wicket but the star performance was without doubt Fraser Day's innings, he scored 26 runs including five fours in a partnership of 42 with Oscar Webb. The result was never in doubt but KCC kept going to the end to post a superb total of 297 for the loss of five wickets.
