Bicester too strong for KCC U13s

A weakened Kidlington U13s side was no match for a very strong Bicester and North Oxford team at Stratfield Brake on Sunday. Only six U13 players were available for this Ron Maudsley Trophy fixture so we had to call on the younger age groups to help out and they did a fantastic job. The effort from all of our players was exceptional and they can feel proud of their performance against a fine team.
Bicester batted with great confidence and control against some really good bowling by KCC. Runs came quickly on a fast outfield and Bicester racked up 200 runs in 20 overs with five batsmen retired after reaching 30 runs. KCC batted solidly in response, the target was never seriously threatened but Ajay Behal and Sahil Kaylan both showed great skill and patience against some very good bowling and fielding. KCC managed to bat out 19 overs which showed good character under the circumstances and this gave valuable experience to many of our players.
