15s batter Bicester
51n.o. & 7 wickets for Josh Behal
KCC U15s ended their 11 a side league season with a huge win over Bicester & North Oxford CC. Jacob Oliver
took on the captaincy with KCC were well short of U15 players, only 4 available with some key players injured. However our under 13s proved to be more than capable with an excellent team performance. Jacob won the toss and elected to bat on a good hard pitch and the decision proved the right one despite an early wicket as the opening bowlers started well but then lost their discipline. Josh Behal and Sam Kimber took full advantage of the short and wide bowling with a superb partnership which took KCC to 91/1 in the 11th over when Josh retired on 51 after an excellent innings which included 11 x 4s. Sam continued to push the score along in some good partnerships with Neil Talmaki
adding valuable runs as he ended 12n.o.
KCC ended 130/7 off 20 overs, a tough target for most teams and Bicester started well but KCC kept the bowling tight with Aman Kalyan
and Jacob Oliver
and the pressure began to tell on the batsmen. Jacob struck first with an excellent 3rd over where he found the edge a couple of times before bringing one in to clean bowl the batsman. Toby Earp
picked up a well deserved wicket as he applied good pressure in his two overs. However it was Josh Behal who did the real damage in a devastating spell of bowling in which he took 7 wickets in 3 overs for only 2 runs. The Bicester batsmen had no answer to him and were blown away for 42 as he bowled with excellent pace and accuracy. It was a really strong team performance with a top class fielding display from KCC. Thanks to all the under 13s who played especially Aaryan Jagnani
in his first game at this level, he very comfortable showed great potential. Thanks to Michael Behal for umpiring. A great end to the 11 a side campaign and a performance to remember.
