Another defeat for the 3rds but it was so close to a victory. Excellent bowling from Aman Kalyan 6-3-7-2, Oscar Hewitt 5-0-21-2 and Baiju Saleem 12-3-37-3 set up a close match and a real chance of victory but Charlbury clung on to win. The bowling could not cover up another poor batting display on a decent wicket. Only Razwan Dogar (51) looked comfortable and when he went to a good catch in the deep the innings subsided badly with some late runs from Ran helping to give the score some respectability. Aman and Baiju opened the bowling and got KCC back in the game immediately with accurate and controlled bowling. Aman could only bowl six in his spell and his departure lifted the pressure on the batsmen but Baiju kept it tight at the other end. Oscar came on later to pick up two wickets in two balls and reignite the contest but with Baiju bowled out and very few runs to play with KCC fell just short, losing by two wickets.
