Factor 50 took affect not till the 20th over!

On a must win Toss Captain Moss on the hottest day of the year lost it, and we were put in the field.

With the Loss of Ran to the 2s, it was left down to Oscar Hewitt and Simon Smith to open the bowling but it did not all go to plan, Moss dropped the first catch of the Day from Hewitt's bowling KhaliI being the benefactor, Salter (12) was the first to go though off the bowling of Hewitt but this time caught by Moss, but that only brought Kumar to the crease and between the 2 of them raced the score to 150 from 18 overs, again Moss dropping Khalil again somewhere before he got to his 50, but Lauren Smith eventually dismissed Khalil (84) with a amazing catch on the boundary from the bowling of Behal, Kumar (76) was then caught off the bowling of L Smith, Thomas (12) was bowled with a great turning ball from Brock, this then brought Keighery on to bowl who picked up the wicket of Brooks (13), Behal had excellent bowling spells of Spin and in the second spell picked up the wickets of Duffy (4) and Kahn (0), Moss then came on to bowl and although totally unfit managed to pick up a tidy spell with the wickets of Kennedy (21) a superb catch held by Clarke behind the stumps, then Swadling (4). and with S smith taking over from Moss took the last wicket of Khademi (4).

Overall we were excellent to come back from what looked like 350 at one point!

Then to our batting Smith (42) and Eagle (36) did really well to bat through the first 22 overs until Eagle fell to a catch after trying to push things along, Smith was next to go in the 34th over being stumped, the pressure was put on Behal (41) who batted really well until also being caught (Dubious!) in the 39th over, but at this stage 40 overs had gone, Swadling (1) Smith (2) Moss (6) Clarke (0) to an amazing catch! all went in to swing the bat, which left Brock (0 Not out) and Hewitt (1 not out) to see us through the overs, not enough runs but we tried

A great game against good opposition, look forward to the next.
