Kidlington CC 3rd XI v Chesterton CC

A lovely to start the new season with a warm sunny day. The 3rds came up against a very strong opposition team in Chesterton. Unfortunately the more experienced KCC players all struggled.

However Kamran turned on a highly impressive all round performance hitting 30 runs including 6 classy boundaries and a spell of excellent left arm inswing bowling. Lauren Smith was the star turn with the ball Lauren's figurers of 5 overs 2 maidens 5 runs for 1 wicket did not flatter her as she bowled a great line and length throughout her spell.

It was good to see Garry Woods batting again, I can see runs flowing from his bat again - of course it would help if he could see the ball better.

With only 10 ten players a big thank you to Oscar Hewitt for fielding to make up the numbers.
