KCC take opposition all the way to the final ball. based on KCC What's App Group (Pure Banter Match Report)

With the Skipper claiming tails never fails at the Toss, Edd reported that he is going to be late because his whites have not dried out from last week yet and are on the line! Skipper looking to Bat first so Edd being late not an issue, Wooder and Behal declining the invitation to play so in comes Jamie and the Jedi Moss,

Edd stopping off at KFC on the way to the game, skipper wanting the family bucket x 4 with gravy just for himself, Jacob joining in with a fillet box as well, could be lots of slips today! Mark, Sam and Neil all running late as stuck in Fringford due to Sainsbury's traffic.

Jamie finally has woken up saying he will also be late, because somebody spiked all the Cider last night, Violin in out for the chairman as he states he only gets picked for the 1st XI when they are short,

Ben’s usual match preparation going on shouting at the kids (his own!), lost his boots, and then not remembering where the game is today, Jamie wanting a nap before the game has even started.

Early Toss and the skipper loses it, he should have listened to the chairman and we are in the field, Early shout out from Edd wanting 1st slip as we take the field, Jamie still waiting for a lift as over the limit form last night and disposing of some unwanted goods #drinkdriveaware

Rich gets an early fine for having the wrong sponsor on the shirt, and some choice conversation starting with undergarment changes, John Emburey turns up as a spectator, in his kit from 8 years ago from Chairman’s day, with 11 now on the field Kam’s pinched a few wickets, Moss complaining on the 3rd man to fine leg duty.

Edd takes an on-field injury after twisting ankle after waving through another 4, Jamie gone missing again to meet the porcelain establishment, whites may have been damaged! with Edd complains of only 1 drinks break, whilst blaming everybody but himself, Skipper stating due to social distancing the inner circle abolished, spread out everyone!

A young sub is now preparing to take the field with Wooders bat after he did not making himself available, After the crazy day in the field we did well to keep them below 300, off to tea we go.

Not a great foundation, we are 65-5, Moss chopping on in the first over having played at the first 3, Sahil quickly followed in the 5th over having not reached double figures, Rodders and the skipper fell in consecutive balls with Ed padding up to a straight one in the next over

But cometh the hour cometh the man, Rich and Jamie starting to build a partnership, only issue is Jamie keeps being ill following any running that Rich is forcing him to do, Chairman not happy so has left to have a barbecue

Currently its working, we’ve past Nelison 112 up, Jamie remembering he ran a 3 with Rich last year whilst putting on 44, Rich reminds Jamie that was only due to his ability to swing across the line!

Edd is now safe back home as well and apologies for not staying to watch the end, Andy thinking he last saw Edd’s bat flying out the window when leaving the ground,

Ben now starting to get nervous as his pads have been on for a long time already with no action, but then wait Jamie has retired sick with 60 for victory Still, 7 an over?

Rich departs, after threatening to punch the umpire… who was heard to comment to square leg that he’s surprised this thug has ever been banned! (They have history!)

Kam’s in, looking keen from the off, the no 1 net batsmen but Jacob looking less keen on the side-lines.

But alas not enough today as we fell short in the end by 6 runs, we needed 6 of the last ball and Chris decided defending his average was a safer bet than hitting a six, Ben stating his average is ruined with a brisk 16 #teamgame

Banter taking place between Rich and Jamie on the amount they scored, 18 for Jamie thinking it was 38, Jamie also taking a pop at the top order for failing to set a platform, extra’s was top scorer, Chris really taking some flack for the lack of shot on the final ball,

First round in the Lion, and Tippers already chatting up the Granny!
