1s secure massive victory
2 wins in 2
The 1s recorded their second win in a row to all but secure Division 3 survival. Winning the toss and bowling first seemed a good idea on a damp, slow track but when Fudge sat pretty on 90-1 off of 20 overs that decision didn't seem the best. Important wickets from a wayward Litten were followed up by good spells from Farrant and Tippett. Eventually bowling Fudge out for 155 with the last 9 wickets falling for 65 runs in 21 overs.
Kidlington's innings didn't get off to the best start with both openers going for 0. Woods steadied the ship but two more quick wickets meant Kiddy were struggling at 35-4. Woods was then joined by Ewers and the two of them pulled Kiddy back into the game with some sensible running and big hits. When Ewers finally fell Kiddy still needed 60 to win. This tall order was made to look easy as the devastating Farrant came the crease and despatched everything in front of him to the boundary scoring 48 in probably only 20 balls. Woods ended not out on 39 to see Kiddy home with a 5 wicket win.
