Second team youth player gets into Oxfordshire under 14 squad

In autumn last year we nominated five under 13 players to the Oxfordshire player development pathway. The pathway is a programme of staged training sessions and assessments that accepts nominations of the most promising players from Oxfordshire's clubs and gives them some county-level experience. The aim of the pathway is ultimately to develop cricketers who have the potential to play at professional level.

All five of our players did very well in the pathway programme, and learnt a lot from the winter training that the county programme is able to offer. They have brought this back to the club to the benefit of all our players.

We are pleased and proud to say that Josh Behal, one of our youth players who also plays for the seniors second team, was successful in progressing through all three stages of the county assessment process. This summer he is playing for the Oxfordshire under 14 team against other county squads from around the country.

Many congratulations to Josh in this achievement. We hope that he enjoys playing for Oxfordshire - and that he scores lots of runs for Kidlington's twos, as well!
